Kallo, a medical
technologies company, just announced a substantial company milestone. In line
with its efforts to bring healthcare to new levels of excellence, the
government of the Republic of Guinea will be implementing a new healthcare
delivery program that will make use of Kallo, Inc.’s MobileCare and Rural-Care.
These technologies are being in implemented in Guinea’s broad healthcare
delivery improvement in the first quarter of 2014 in order to raise the
standards of healthcare delivery to Guinea’s rural populations. The new program
is being implemented to speed up progress on the Guinea government’s healthcare
Millennium Development Goals as well.
“Child mortalities
and maternal health (Millennium Development Goals 4 and 5) are a major cause of
concern for our government, and once fully implemented, this US 200 million
dollar healthcare project will help reduce infant mortality, enhance maternal
health, and deliver a high standard of healthcare in Guinea,” said his
Excellency Doctor Edouard Niankoye LAMA – Ministre de la Santé et d’Hygiène
Publique, Guinea.
“As Guinea prepares
for exponential economic growth, we need to ensure that our people are healthy
and have access to quality healthcare. To achieve this, a blended program of
MobileCare and Rural-Care from Kallo, Inc. — a US company — is expected to
commence implementation in the first quarter of 2014 and over the following 24
months Mobile Clinics, Polyclinics, Utility Vehicles and Ambulances will
provide medical services locally to the people of Guinea. The most exciting
part of this program is the Education and Training of Guinea’s healthcare
workforce and the relatively short delivery time that Kallo, Inc. has committed
to, this will raise the level of education of our healthcare workforce, and
achieve WHO-mandated healthcare objectives quickly,” continued his Excellency Doctor
Edouard Niankoye LAMA.
MobileCare is a
comprehensive solution for remote and unreached communities’ healthcare needs.
It includes mobile clinics with the most up-to-date and best medical
technologies and congruent information systems on the market, training program
for healthcare workforce competency enhancement, centralized resource and
communications coordination, and medical specialist support with up-to-date
medical and information systems in line with current healthcare laws and
requirements.
Rural-Care enables
healthcare delivery to unreached communities via pre-fabricated, pre-tested,
modular, and project-determined medical clinics. These clinics are ready for
implementation in rural areas and disaster zones in just eight days, a feat
considering they include full-out mobile medical centers including patient exam
rooms, operating rooms, imaging rooms, labs, and dispensaries. Full staff
quarters and a comprehensive range of medical equipment (x-ray, ultra-sound,
lab equipment, medications, medical and surgical supplies) are also available
in the clinics, which in total range from 1,200 to 3,800 square feet.
The mobile clinics,
polyclinic, ambulances, and utility vehicles are all set to be monitored
through an administration center. Clinical services are to be coordinated by,
synchronized with, and monitored by a clinical and administrative command
center. “It is a unique healthcare delivery system designed after detailed
discussions with Guinea’s Ministry of Health for its rural population. Kallo,
Inc. is honored to bring this benefit to the people of Guinea,” said John
Cecil, Company Chairman and CEO.
