Continuing education
and maintaining familiarity with the latest advances, developments and
technologies is of upmost importance in any segment of the healthcare field.
With this in mind, Kallo, Inc. is collaborating with U.S. and Canadian academia
to design education and training programs that will heighten the skills of
healthcare professionals as well as the company’s own employees.
Supported by a
management team with entrepreneurship, experience and knowledge of healthcare,
Kallo aims to increase the quality and reach of medical treatment in remote
areas. To execute this mission, the company has developed a portfolio of
clinical solutions in compliance with international, national and regional
standards.
Kallo’s MobileCare™
is a comprehensive solution for remote and/or unreached communities. The mobile
clinics are loaded with best-in-class medical devices and corresponding
information systems. Contributing to further education, the MobileCare product
also includes a training program to ensure a successful grafting of medical and
technical best practices from around the world.
MobileCare is linked
via telehealth, which uses advanced diagnostic video conferencing to enable
patient-physician/specialist interaction in real-time over unlimited distances.
For healthcare professionals in rural areas, this technology provides
invaluable secondary support and the opportunity to increase medical knowledge
and practices.
The telehealth
systems provide access to diagnostic, surgical and technical guidance from
specialists at Clinical Command Centers that are located at the nearest
teaching hospital, enabling specialists to provide care to patients in
unreached remote areas. Armed with this field support and access to
MobileCare’s cutting-edge medical equipment and technology, trained and
certified staff will be able to perform tasks that are not usually performed by
technicians.
The Kallo Clinical
Transformation Team, comprised of doctors, nurses, bio-medical engineers,
partnered with academia to develop specific training programs for MobileCare to
educate medical professionals on the use of onboard equipment and best-practice
procedures and protocol.
Nurses are provided
continuing medical education in areas such as monitoring and tracking vital
signs, IV placement, phlebotomy, administration of medications and more.
MobileCare also provides training for local technicians on how to install,
repair, calibrate, inspect and provide maintenance on all technical equipment
within the mobile clinic. Furthermore, mobile clinic operators are trained to
perform level-one equipment troubleshooting and to oversee the transformation
of the clinic into an aseptic environment.
Through integration
with current healthcare infrastructures, MobileCare optimizes the scope and
efficiency of healthcare by delivering higher standards via latest
technologies. The solution equips medical personnel with the equipment and
technology to advance medical care in remote or disaster-stricken areas,
filling a dire need within the broader healthcare industry.
