Ecrypt Technologies
has been on a tear since they turned the corner last month in June, from being
a development company to being a revenue-generating firm, with the alpha unit
prototype launch of the company’s ground-breaking, simple to use, yet
military-strength secure email system, Ecrypt One. The sandbox roll-out of
Ecrypt One, which put pre-qualified potential users and integration partners in
a virtual testing environment where they could get hands-on experience with the
platform, has been successful.
Multiple strategic
marketing agreements and marketing alliances have subsequently been signed or
entered into as a result of this open evaluation approach and several
‘speed-of-execution’ initiatives Ecrypt Technologies has simultaneously
implemented. The increasingly complex, modular hardware/software landscape
which has emerged in recent years presents daunting data security concerns for
enterprise, government, and military organizations. Ecrypt is rapidly coming to
the fore in this hectic environment as a trusted provider of simplified
solutions that harness state-of-the-art security capabilities to deliver
products like their secure email system.
The market is ripe
for a robust yet easy-to-use solution like Ecrypt One and the pedigree of the
company’s new CEO, appointed just prior to the alpha unit launch, says a great
deal about this already well-connected company, which has two-decade
Congressman and former Vice Chairman of Armed Services and Homeland Security
Committees, Curt Weldon, as the Board Chairman. Newly appointed CEO, Dr. Thomas
A. Cellucci, used to be DHS and White House Chief Commercialization Officer
under both Bush and Obama, and brings a long track record of having
successfully grown a variety of high-tech companies.
Ecrypt already has a
considerable amount of direct contact with multi-billion dollar industries and
the spate of deals post the alpha unit launch of Ecrypt One, which the company
has steadfastly put together makes the case plainly:
June 23 – Market
alliance with business process compliance experts QCR Corp., which has more
than 17 years in providing consulting and software tools. Partnership
encompasses a worldwide exclusive agreement that has ECRY distributing and
selling, as well as promoting QCR’s field-proven, mistake-proofing software to
government clients.
June 25 – Strategic
alliance with award-winning password replacement system developers Enterprise
Sentinel®. Alliance has ECRY doing the same legwork for Enterprise’s authentication
products and capabilities as they are doing for QCR. Enterprise’s patented
one-time passcode generator system, PassRules, is cost effective to purchase
and maintain, making it an excellent addition to the fold. This worldwide
arrangement between the two companies brings together two operations that each
possess extensive, in-depth expertise with global government and commercial
markets, increasing the striking distance of ECRY mightily.
June 26 – Strategic
marketing agreement (having similar promotional/sales and distribution by ECRY
as previously noted deals) completed with a global leader in unmanned systems
and robotics, innoBots. With over two-and-a-half decades in the game, this
family-owned robotics shop has established an impressive reputation for
delivering critical military applications.
June 27 – Strategic
marketing agreement finalized with primarily military/security navigation and
communications, hardware/software developer, Genesys Technologies. Genesys is
one of the top firms doing secure wireless communications with an emphasis on
preventing navigational spoofing or device jamming, particularly in unmanned
aerial systems.
July 1 – Strategic
marketing agreement with Silanis Technology, whose e-signature solution,
e-SignLive™, is the most widely used on earth, with over 600M documents
processed per year. The secure and streamlined e-SignLive architecture, which
features tight legal and regulatory compliance, dovetails nicely with the
highly-anticipated Ecrypt One and is already wildly successful among private
entities like top banks and insurance carriers, as well as on the public side
with the GSA, USAF and U.S. Army all being satisfied customers.
Ecrypt Technologies
is clearly telegraphing how they are getting out ahead of increasingly
stringent government data confidentiality regulations like HIPAA (Health
Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), as well as prevailing
implications from FISMA (Federal Information Security Management Act), and the
GLBA (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act). Ecrypt is positioning itself as a go-to source
for secure data communications spanning enterprise, government and military.
The emphasis on freeing up organizations to communicate easily without having
to monkey around in the deeper technical details, shielding those organizations
from liability, competitive threat and damage to reputation associated with
data breaches of all sorts, gives ECRY a serious edge and their
industry/government contacts will serve the company well as commercial activity
accelerates.
Ecrypt One is a
well-timed product launch, with increased concerns over data security driven by
data breaches and identity theft even at major corporations. A recent survey by
Voltage Security indicates that as much as 36% of IT Professionals openly admit
to not encrypting sensitive data that is sent around outside the organization.
It is glaringly obvious from such a survey that ubiquitous, easy-to-use
solutions, with seriously tough back-end encryption capabilities like Ecrypt
One, are needed to address the underlying dynamics effectively.
