WRIT Media Group, Inc.’s (WRIT) Retro Infinity to Launch Crowd Funding Campaign for Retro Video Games Project

WRIT Media subsidiary Retro Infinity Inc., a publisher of classic video games for mobile devices, is preparing to introduce the Retro Infinity Player proprietary software through a social media-supported crowd funding campaign.

Retro Infinity Player allows retro video games to be played on mobile and set-top streaming devices. The company will unveil more detailed product information during the upcoming launch.

In a news release announcing the financing campaign, WRIT Media noted that Retro Infinity was the secondary sponsor, along with Branding Racetrack convenience stores, on Enrique Contreras III’s debut in the Camping World Truck Series/NASCAR debut at Martinsville, Virginia. Contreras finished 20th after starting in the 32nd spot, and is NASCAR Mexico’s 2011 Rookie of the Year.

The sponsorship, along with the crowd funding campaign, underlines the company’s aggressive strategy to raise brand and product awareness.

“Through our recent NASCAR branding, we have been driving valuable brand awareness to our mobile gaming products, and will continue to drive broad exposure to our Retro Infinity Player launch, via NASCAR’s national televised events and social media campaigns surrounding such events. We expect to continue this success through the championship weekend in November,” stated Eric Mitchell, WRIT Media CEO.
