Earlier this
afternoon, Sparta Commercial Services reported that Candor, NC, has joined
Charlotte, Greenville, Raleigh, and eight other local governments in North
Carolina that have chosen Sparta’s Municipal Lease Program for the acquisition
of their new Dodge Charger police cruisers to replace older units in its fleet.
As noted in today’s
press release, Sparta’s Municipal Lease Program continues to gain popularity
among local governments around the country because of how much more economical
the program is for budget-minded officials and their need to stretch the tax
dollars they have to allocate. Unlike the traditional method of up-front
purchasing, and expending the entire amount of the item immediately, Sparta’s
Lease program enables the jurisdiction to pay the cost over time, and thereby
relieve some of the typical budgetary pressures faced by department heads or
controllers.
Sparta’s Municipal
Lease Program can accommodate virtually any essential equipment need for local
or state government, from police motorcycles to cruisers, from busses to
trucks, from surveillance systems to tactical vehicles, and more.
Phillip Hearne,
Mayor of Candor, commented, “Although this is our first experience working with
Sparta, I can honestly say that the professionals in their Municipal Leasing
Division were extremely helpful and made the process easy and painless.”
