Puget Technologies, Inc. (PUGE) Developing Printer Enhancements for Domestic Consumer Marketplace

Today before the opening bell, Puget Technologies announced that it is developing a series of enhancements for the soon-to-be-released 3D printer. The company has been developing these enhancements in collaboration with international 3D printer manufacturer Weistek, and the enhancements include an enriched out-of-box experience and ease of use for first-time consumers and product enthusiasts.

President and CEO of Puget Technologies Ron Leyland said, “The 3D printer industry is creating excitement in the consumer market, and the enhancements being developed by our engineering team will allow users to become instantly creative with their new equipment and add tremendous value to an already excellent product.”

The 3D printer market is slated to reach $4 billion next year, signifying growth in consumer demand for these innovative, turn-of-the-century products. Puget Technologies is working to bring the next step of its 3D market penetration to fruition: completion of the enhancements and then entering them into the stage of beta testing. The enhancements, along with sales and support channels, are expected to be completed in the coming weeks in anticipation of a consumer beta test prior to the end of the first quarter of 2014.

Puget Technologies says that the enhancements will consist of innovative developments to its software that will enable quick and effortless consumer operation of the product. Recently, Weistek, Puget Technologies’ collaboration partner, received the “Best Annual 3D Printer” award as part of the “2013-2014 Global Interconnection Devices Top 10” ceremony at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. This event is the world’s largest technology event, and Weistek’s 3D printer was praised for the following features and benefits: its ease of use, its compact and portable hardware, its solid metal body to ensure stable performance, and its ability to perform up to 120 hours of continuous printing.
