In a news release today, On the Move Systems says that it is exploring
the prospects of adding software that will enable customers to book limousine
reservations directly from its website in real time. The company’s exploratory
effort is the company’s latest step forward in its ongoing quest to offer
unprecedented niche booking offers to online travel customers.
“Networking travel and transportation providers are exactly how we plan
to grow our business,” said On the Move Systems CEO Robert Wilson. “Our online
portal now in development will be a one-stop shop for 24/7 transportation and
logistics booking around the globe, offering a breadth of services unavailable
on any other website.”
On the Move Systems’ joint venture partner, JetSet Car Service just
recently expanded into a provider network that connects nearly 2,000 limousine
operators in 24 countries around the world. Harnessing powerful new software,
On the Move Systems could then offer its customers the ability to book car
services, request price quotes, and access historical data online directly
through its ISTx portal. The portal is scheduled to be up-and-running sometime
in 2014.
In its bid to build a network of services available through its online
portal, On the Move Systems has already finalized many lucrative agreements,
including partnering with service providers such as JetSet Car Service and the
Florida-based air travel company, The Naples Connection. On the Move Systems is
currently in talks with another company, the Xperience, which will enable the
online booking company to offer getaway sports package deals.
According to industry researchers, the online travel market is valued at
almost a third of a trillion dollars. On the Move Systems seeks to develop
promising new innovations and niche offerings in this highly profitable
industry, increasing consumer convenience and efficiency while helping them cut
down on their travel costs.
