U-Vend USA, an
operating unit of Internet Media Services, announced the appointment of four
business industry veterans to its Advisory Board.
The new U-Vend
Advisory Board Members are as follows:
Owner and operator
of the Ontario, Canada based QSR Group Inc., Greg Hogarth. The QSR Group
currently oversees 26 Tim Horton’s and Wendy’s restaurants with a combined
sales of over $50 million, employing over 1,400 full and part-time employees.
In addition, QSR Group manages a real estate portfolio in excess of $20
million.
Marcel Dionne, one
of history’s most productive offensive performers in the National Hockey
League. Marcel played 18 seasons in the NHL for the Detroit Red Wings, Los
Angeles Kings and New York Rangers and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of
Fame in 1992. He retired with 1,771 points and 731 goals to his name and currently
operates a notable sports collectables and merchandise store, Marcel Dionne,
Inc.
Director and founder
of operation of privately held, GPS Distribution Inc., James Butts. With
revenues topping $10 million, GPS Distribution specializes in the distribution
of newspapers to retail outlets and homes. In addition the company owns over
250 vending machines located in the Southern Ontario, Canada marketplace.
R.J. Gillen, a
partner in the St. Catharines, Ontario law firm Chown, Cairns from 1980 until
his retirement in 1993, will also join. His background includes business and
commercial matters, in particular, the negotiation and preparation of licensing
and distribution agreements. Previously he sat as Vice-President of Horn Abbot
Ltd., the owner of the popular board game Trivial Pursuit.
