Micronet Enertec, which has a strong hand in the defense and aerospace
sectors as a supplier of specialized electronic systems via their wholly-owned
Enertec Systems (biggest private manufacturer/supplier to Israeli military) and
rugged, mobile computing platforms for mobile resource management via their
controlling interest-owned Micronet, reported the latest win for Enertec’s
extremely successful automated test equipment and simulator systems business
today, with the award of a $2M advanced missile defense system development
project.
Given the commanding presence already established by MICT in U.S. and
Israeli military markets for such mission critical testing, diagnostic and
simulation builds, it was little surprise to learn that the company has been
selected to develop what is being billed as a generic support system for a vast
range of advanced missile defense platforms. More importantly, MICT expects
additional follow-on production orders from the deal covering the full life
cycle of the target combat systems.
President and CEO of MICT, David Lucatz, noted this selection by a top
billion-dollar A&D integrator (also based in Israel), which is partnered up
with a major U.S. contractor to oversee the global roll out of this
state-of-the-art missile defense platform, as a clear indication of the
company’s clout within the sector. The customer has even indicated that
earliest follow-on orders should crop up as soon as next year, with a current
estimate in the $4M range for such follow-on orders, this deal really reinforces
to investors how shrewd MICT has been with their focus on the missile defense
niche.
The extensive experience and impeccable reputation established by MICT in
this area, with their unique know-how and systems expertise, will continue to
serve shareholders well as increased threats of this nature mount globally,
creating a serious demand swell. There is a huge market here for MICT doing
front-end systems for increasingly complex A&D applications and the
