A new mobile productivity app, hopTo, was made available for immediate download on the iPad App Store yesterday. hopTo is a wholly-owned subsidiary of GraphOn, which is based out of California.
Bringing a new level of productivity to your iPad, hopTo is a mobile workspace that allows its users to edit, manage, and share their documents, very similar to their own desktop or laptop PC. hopTo is available for free download at the Apple App Store and users are enrolled on a first-come, first-serve account activation process. The technology behind hopTo is protected by the company’s intellectual property creation strategy, filing nearly 100 patents in the past year.
“We’re incredibly excited about this first-ever public beta release of hopTo,” said hopTo President and CEO Eldad Eilam. “We believe that post-PC devices represent a tectonic shift in mobile productivity.” Eilam also said that hopTo’s elegant, intuitive user interfaces and the user’s preferred cloud storage solutions to retrieve their documents should be perfectly addressed on the application.
“hopTo reinvents mobile productivity with an amazingly intuitive user-interface and a robust feature set,” said Christoph Berlin, COO of hopTo. Berlin also stated that hopTo hopes to expand to iPhone and Android markets in the near future.
hopTo is currently compatible with 2nd generation and later iPad devices, and the first generation iPad mini. hopTo can be downloaded at www.appstore.com/hopto or www.hopto.com.
