Prior to this new technology, ultrasound images of the right heart were too blurry to use, but now the VentriPoint system offers full right-heart image clarity together with the ease, speed, and cost advantages of a quick and simple ultrasound scan, usable even with babies.
Leading hospitals around the world have already begun using the VentriPoint right-heart analysis system, and the company is now in talks with 2D ultrasound OEMs to jointly build a system for the early detection of pulmonary hypertension, potentially involving thousands of machines in the U.S. alone.
