Cytomedix, Inc. (CMXI) to Highlight FDA-Cleared AutoloGel System at Symposium on Advanced Wound Care Fall 2012

Cytomedix, a developer of advanced autologous adult stem cell technologies for wound and tissue repair, will display its AutoloGel™ System in three poster presentations at the upcoming Symposium on Advanced Wound Care Fall 2012 (Sept 12-14) at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Cytomedix will also host a booth at the symposium where attendees and clinicians can learn more how AutoloGel can produce autologous platelet rich plasma (PRP) gel for use in wound management. The system is the only PRP device cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for this application.

Presenting AutoloGel at the SAWC Fall 2012 provides exposure to the medical community and demonstrates the value of the system for wound care management.

“SAWC Fall 2012 is the ideal venue to showcase our growing body of positive clinical data on AutoloGel as it is the premier educational wound care program and the largest annual gathering of wound care professionals in the U.S., with more than 1,000 physicians, podiatrists, nurses, therapists and researchers expected to attend,” Martin P. Rosendale, CEO of Cytomedix stated in the press release. “These poster presentations underscore the robust nature of AutoloGel to advance the speed and progress to healing in a variety of recalcitrant wounds in a number of healthcare settings.”

Cytomedix’s will present the following posters at the SAWC Fall 2012: Aged Spinal Cord Injury Veterans with Recalcitrant Pressure Ulcers Treated with Platelet-Rich Plasma Gel; Healing Complex, Severe Diabetic and Ischemic Wounds in Japan Using Platelet-Rich Plasma Gel; and Advancing Wound Healing Trajectory with Platelet Rich Plasma Gel in Stalled NPWT Wounds.
