AnythingIT, Inc. (ANYI) Honored with e-Stewards Certification for Second Consecutive Year

Leading information technology electronics recycler and e-waste handler serving both government and commercial markets for over 20 years, AnythingIT announced earlier today it has completed a successful surveillance of e-Stewards certification for a second consecutive year.

e-Stewards Certification is currently becoming the leading global program designed to enable both individuals and organizations alike who dispose of electronic equipment to easily identify recyclers that adhere to the highest standard of environmental responsibility as well as worker protection. Certification bans all toxic waste from being disposed of in incinerators and landfills and in addition requires full cooperation with existing international hazardous waste treaties for export. Even more specific, certified companies are prohibited from exporting hazardous waste to developing countries or from using prison labor to recycle electronics, which often times contain embedded sensitive or personal information.

“We are really pleased with another successful audit. AnythingIT is dedicated to providing the highest level of global environmental sustainability and security. Our e-Steward certification reflects that”, stated CEO at AnythingIT, David Bernstein.
