Xcel Brands, Inc. (XELB) Forges Licensing Agreement with Furniture Brands International

Xcel Brands announced it has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with global home furnishings leader Furniture Brands International. The agreement will give Furniture Brands International the license to manufacture home furniture and distribute the Home Isaac Mizrahi label. The collection will be offered through 100 Thomasville stores and also through better department stores in spring of 2014.

The license represents a cornerstone to the growing home business of Xcel Brands, Inc., which is a company engaged in acquiring, designing, licensing, and marketing consumer brands.

Xcel Brands acquired Isaac Mizrahi New York, as well as an interest in Liz Claiborne New York, in 2011 and quickly expanded into more than 100 categories for the Isaac Mizrahi designer apparel brand.
