MesoCoat’s PcomP nanocomposite coating materials and thermal spray coating services extend the life of oil field and industrial components by anywhere from three to 80 times. This leads directly to significant reduction in losses from downtime and maintenance. The company is presently undergoing a six-fold production scale-up of its PcomP materials. It also is setting up a thermal spray coating facility to serve the regional shale and oil field equipment market.
The company’s CermaClad product addresses the expanding supply/demand gap for corrosion resistant alloy clad pipes. CermaClad is expected to bring significant improvement in quality, production times and, cost efficiencies for deepwater installation of clad pipes in the rapidly growing $4 billion metal cladding industry. Beginning in 2014, the firm expects to manufacture about 200 kilometers of 10-inch clad pipes annually.
