CareView Communications, an IT provider to the healthcare industry, has received approval for inclusion in the U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule program. Approval into the program enables CareView to provide its CareView System™ at a negotiated rate to Veteran’s Administration (VA) medical facilities, Department of Defense (DOD) hospitals, and other federal agencies.
“The GSA award is an important component to CareView’s overall sales strategy. We are extremely pleased with the outcome of negotiations with the GSA and can now work to fulfill requests to provide services to military hospitals. The current interest from private hospitals coupled with the new interest from VA and DOD hospitals positions CareView as the standard of care in both sectors,” Samuel Greco, the company’s CEO stated in the press release.
The GSA approved two of CareView’s modules, which include the Primary Care package and the patient/room management application to provide safety; patient communication with friends and family members via video; and the scheduling and management of routine events such as wound dressing, patient room rounding, catheter changes, and room assignment.
The GSA’s Multiple Award Schedule is one of the top government contract vehicles available to agency procurement officers and provides instantaneous advantage to CareView.
Heartland Energy Partners, which was designated as a veteran-owned small business by the Department of Veterans Affairs, entered into a deal with CareView, though the contract became effective upon the granting of the GSA award.
Former Deputy Secretary of Veteran Affairs Gordon H. Mansfield, a decorated war veteran, serves on the Advisory Board for Heartland, where he will collaborate with CareView to implement the company’s system in the VA and DOD hospitals.
