After months of preparation, eDoorways is now actively engaged in establishing a web-based collaborative platform for ISTEC (Ibero-Amercian Science & Technology Education Consortium).
ISTEC is a non-profit institution formed in 1990 to encourage communication and cooperation to improve the quality of life in Ibero-America. (Ibero-America is a term used to refer to any countries in the Americas which were formerly colonies of Spain or Portugal.) As a consortium of over 100 universities serving a large part of an estimated 20 million students and faculty members, and representing educational, scientific, and business interests of 28 Latin American countries, as well as Spain and Portugal, ISTEC presents a real opportunity. eDoorways was selected by ISTEC as being the best way to bring together their diverse membership base, allowing them to share information in a way never before possible.
