SinoHub, Inc. (SIHI.OB) Appoints Veteran Wall-Streeter and Financial Manager Charles Kimball to its Board of Directors

Continuing its development as a provider of supply chain management and vendor managed inventory services to electronic product manufacturers, component suppliers and distributors in China, SinoHub, Inc. reported that it had added Charles Kimball to its Board of Directors. Kimball will also serve on the Board’s Audit and Compensation Committees.

Kimball, 63, has extensive experience in advising businesses operating in the Far East and in analyzing the electronics industry. Currently, he serves as the chief research consultant for Bosera Fund Management Co., Ltd., one of the original mutual funds to be formed in China. Formerly, he worked almost 30 years for JP Morgan and its related entities in various positions. Most importantly among those positions in terms of the SinoHub directorship were tours of duty as head of international investments, head of investment research in Tokyo and as an equity analyst. As an equity analyst, Kimball covered electronic component distribution companies, electrical equipment firms, and other electronic firms.

“I am delighted to welcome Charlie to our board of directors,” said Harry Cochran, chief executive officer of SinoHub, Inc. “His knowledge of finance and of our sector will serve us well as SinoHub continues to demonstrate the significant value that our proprietary electronic component supply chain management platform brings to the large and rapidly growing electronics market in China.”

Kimball noted the favorable circumstances in which SinoHub currently operates, stating that “SinoHub is currently operating in a very large, dynamic industry with many opportunities for meaningful, near- and long-term growth. I look forward to working closely with the board and senior management team as SinoHub continues to build momentum and further develops as a publicly traded company in the U.S.”

SinoHub is a U.S. based holding company. Its primary asset is SinoHub Electronics Shenzhen Ltd. which is based in China. According to Reed Electronics Research, in 2007 alone China produced approximately US$359 billion of electronic products. Over 80% of the electronic components used in the manufacturing process are imported into the country, making China the biggest consumer of electronic components in the world.
