Inspiration Mining Corp announced Friday that they have continued to find success with their diamond drilling program on the Langmuir Project, located in Langmuir Township south of Timmins, Ontario. This property contains 69 adjacent mining claim units that cover about 1,090 hectares in the north-central portion of Langmuir Township, Porcupine Mining Division, and District of Cochrane, Ontario.
Inspiration Mining stated that a number of early 2006 and 2007 drill holes have been expanded, leading way to a greater zone of nickel mineralization. The diamond drilling at the Langmuir No. 1 Mine area has been completed and the diamond drill program will continue between 100 metres to 200 metres vertically below surface.
The metal content value of the nickel bearing mineralization for the Langmuir Property is currently under evaluation. The company sent 9,982 pulps (4,249 samples from Langmuir No. 1 and 5,733 samples from Langmuir No. 2 - North Zone) for re-assaying of nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), gold (Au), platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd) and specific gravity to Activation Laboratories Ltd. of Ancaster, Ontario.
Since 2005, Inspiration Mining Corp. has executed an aggressive exploration program on the Langmuir Property and has completed line cutting, ground geophysical surveys consisting of total field and vertical gradient magnetic and electromagnetic surveys, soil geochemical survey and extensive diamond drilling programs. The current exploration program is ongoing and the management is confident more encouraging results will be forthcoming.
