Skkynet Cloud
Systems, a prominent player in the real-time cloud information systems market
worldwide, has announced that it will be engaging in a collaborative effort
with Nissin Systems of Kyoto, Japan and Cogent Real-Time Systems to deliver
data integration, programmability, and web-based HMI support for Nissin’s ECHONET
Lite Home Energy Management System (HEMS) Server Development Tool. The HEMS
tool is capable of controlling and maximizing energy efficiency for new and
existing home, and can be installed on any PC. Cogent Real-Time Systems is a
wholly owned subsidiary of Skkynet.
“This is the first
tool of its kind, a technical breakthrough with immediate benefits to any
homeowner,” said Mr. Toshiaki Ishikura, Executive Officer of Business Solutions
at Nissin Systems. “Now anyone can have a fully ECHONET Lite-compatible home
energy management system (HEMS) simply by installing this software.”
The HEMS Server
Development Tool leverages Cogent’s DataHub®, while running on an ordinary
Windows® PC, to aggregate data to optimize the usage of household appliances,
such as air conditioning, lighting, and water heaters that can be connected to
smart meters, solar panels, electric vehicles, batteries, and fuel cells.
Homeowners can easily manage their home energy usage by using Cogent’s WebView™
technology to create web-based control panels.
“The HEMS Server
Development Tool is an excellent application for Skkynet’s secure cloud
technology,” said Paul Thomas, President of Skkynet. “Nissin Systems is clearly
a pioneer in putting the benefits of cloud-based real-time data integration
into the hands of the average homeowner.”
