The color-changing technology, marketed as SecureLight™, has the ability to instantly change color under both CFL (compact fluorescent light) and LED light sources. The patent’s additional claims include a range of methods that incorporate the pigment into a product, including as a surface coating on a product, direct incorporation into a product, or as an identifying mark on a product.
“Our strong and growing portfolio of intellectual property is enhanced with this new patent,” Michael R. Sonnenreich, chairman of LLTI’s board of directors stated in the press release. “As we build on the recent sales of this technology, the company now has an expanded market for its services.”
The patent enables the company to vary its offerings while maintaining the security of its intellectual property, and solidifies LLTI’s presence in the anti-counterfeit industry.
“The value of LaserLock’s intellectual property positions the company very strongly in the anti-counterfeiting field,” LLTI CEO Neil Alpert stated. “The new claims in our patent for our state-of-the-art product SecureLight™ further protects that value and the integrity of our technology for our clients.”
