Lighting Science Group Corp. (LSCG) Awarded GSA MAS Vendor Status, Providing Access to Government Contracts

Lighting Science Group, a global provider of environmentally friendly lighting solutions, reports that it has received GSA Multiple Award Schedule vendor status through the GSA Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) program.

LSCG’s products consists of both “Made in USA” and NAFTA compliant products, and its Definity™ brand Energy Star approved replacement lamps qualify as GSA Green Products. Achieving vendor status enables LSCG to establish long-term government contracts for its LED lighting solutions and provides it the opportunity to offer these products through the GSA Advantage Web site.

“By receiving GSA Multiple Award Schedule vendor status, we will be able to provide our industry leading and environmentally superior solutions to a wide variety of government facilities and locations,” Jeremy Cage, LSCG CEO stated in the press release. “We are excited to offer the depth and breadth of our line of LED products to the workers and patrons at federal facilities nationwide helping them to comply with federal mandates on energy efficiency, while improving the lighting in their workplace.”

The GSA Schedules program is one of the government’s top acquisition vehicles available for customers and vendors, representing approximately $50 billion a year in spending or 10 percent of overall federal procurement spending. GSA establishes long-term, government-wide contracts with commercial companies to provide access to various commercial products and services at bulk discount pricing.
