On Sept.
8, 2014, Home Depot confirmed that its payment data systems were breached,
which could potentially impact customers who used a payment card at their U.S.
and Canadian stores this year from April to September. While Home Depot was
able to tell its customers that the malware used in the breach had been
eliminated from its U.S. and Canadian networks, the fact remains that the
damage had already been done.
Also, just
recently, JP Morgan Chase announced that their information infrastructure was
hacked. After an investigation by bank personnel and the FBI it was concluded
that 76 million households (approximately two-thirds of American households)
were affected by the cyber security attack. Bank reports said the attackers
stole customers’ contact information, which includes names, email addresses,
phone numbers and addresses.
With
breaches of this nature appearing to be commonplace on today’s commercial
landscape, there is one company who endeavors to stand in the way and change
the course of such events. Ecrypt Technologies, Inc. is focused on providing an
enterprise-wide, military grade standard encryption, email solution that covers
communication by wireless devices.
In 76% of
all data breach cases, the primary causes were human factors such as error,
negligence, or human attack. Ecrypt Technologies has the technology that
guarantees businesses and government agencies can contend with all three.
ECRY’s
core product, Ecrypt One, encrypts all emails and attachments, while removing
the need for separate security programs involving anti-viral, anti-malware,
anti-phishing, or spam filter programs. The company provides a unified solution
with a centralized interface delivering constant encryption and secure
archiving of all electronic communication. The platform also includes a
dedicated compliance officer console and the capability to produce detailed
audit data. Enterprise workers can maneuver through their email, contacts,
calendars, and mobile devices – all without hampering productivity. With
24/7/365 active encryption, human error known to be responsible for releasing
malicious email is eliminated.
