Yesterday, Golfsmith International Holdings unveiled its newest Golfsmith retail location in Baltimore, MD. The location is Golfsmith’s 83rd store, but the chain’s first location in Maryland. The store will offer golf enthusiasts high-tech simulators, coaching sessions, and opening-weekend offers.
Golfsmith International Holdings is a specialty retailer of golf and tennis equipment, as well as apparel and accessories for the sports, with a 45-year history. The company offers premier golfing equipment by brand names, as well as its own lines of proprietary merchandise, as well as pre-owned equipment.
Some of the amenities offered by the new retail location include the ability to try new equipment in hitting simulators, as well as on an indoor putting green. Enthusiasts will also be able to receive a video-recorded golf lesson with a certified GolfTEC coach in-store. The store will also offer custom fitting, in which a prospective buyer is guided to the clubs best suited to them via a system of analysis of the player’s swing.
During the store’s opening weekend, April 13 and 14, the Baltimore location will also be offering a free $20 Golfsmith card or a two-pack of golf balls to the first 500 customers. Golfsmith claims that by the end of 2012, there will be 89 store locations in the U.S.
