E-Waste Systems, Inc. (EWSI) Appoints Steve Hollinshead as CFO

Today, E-Waste Systems, Inc. announced that Steve Hollinshead would be appointed CFO and board member. In this capacity, Hollinshead will be a driving force behind the company’s financial strategy and growth. Hollinshead comes from several positions dealing with sustainability.

E-Waste Systems, based in London, is focused primarily on waste electric and electronic equipment processing, part of a $55 billion industry dealing with materials that cannot be sent to landfills. Electronic waste regulations in London are among the most strict in the world, giving E-Waste Systems an edge over other such companies worldwide. E-Waste’s stance is that current operations are typically unprofessional and fragmented; there are many opportunities for savvy companies to buy and upgrade other services. A strategy of the company is to create a single organization with integrated services, such as repair, refurbishment and resale of useful items, and properly recycling unusable items.

Hollinshead is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Prior to joining E-Waste, Hollinshead’s career history has included serving as Group Finance Director for Biwater, a water infrastructure company; this also includes serving as CFO at Cascal, a water utility company previously owned by Biwater. With Cascal, Hollinshead oversaw the completion of the company’s IPO on the NYSE.

Martin Nielson, Chairman and CEO, E-Waste Systems, Inc., said, “I, along with the extended EWSI team, am pleased to welcome Steve Hollinshead as our Chief Financial Officer. Steve’s background in green industries, as well as his extensive experience with capital markets and delivery of external growth agenda, makes him a wonderful fit for EWSI, as we continue to grow our operations and team as a whole. Working together, we look forward to the opportunity to expand our business initiatives, complete acquisitions and enhance stakeholder relations.”
