Envision Solar, a leading sustainable infrastructure product designer and developer, today announced that the company was profitable in the 2nd Quarter of FY2011. Envision Star recorded net income of $381,450, or $0.01 per share, for the quarter. The company is a leader in the invention and construction of solar structures that address millions of unused acres of parking spaces. Its innovative systems include products for commercial and institutional projects, such as EnvisionTrak™, CleanCharge™, Solar Tree®, Solar Grove®, Solar Row™, LifePort®, LifePod™, LifeVillage™ solar systems and others. Envision Solar produced gross profits from installations in the North East and South West of the United States, demonstrating the company’s ability to execute across a broad market.
”We’re proving that our beautiful, infrastructure quality Smart Tree™ with EnvisionTrak™ tracking technology not only generates clean energy and lots of shade, but also excellent margins and now profits for our shareholders, “said Robert Noble, Leading Sustainable Design Architect and Envision Solar Founder in the quarterly earnings press release.
The Company’s Tracking Solar Tree® array meets the needs of a wide variety of real estate clients including shading vehicles from the sun, reducing carbon footprints through the production of renewable energy, advancing the infrastructure for electric vehicles and increasing output by 20% over a standard fixed PV array. The EnvisionTrakTM technology, a hybrid multi-axis design, provides a highly functional solution which allows the entire Solar Tree® canopy to track the sun, while not restricting traffic flow in drive aisles of parking lots. Envision Solar’s Tracking Solar Tree® arrays are the ideal combination of form, function and sustainability.
“Our decision to focus on Park Solar and the huge opportunity in solar shaded parking is paying off. We’ve demonstrated that we can deploy our highly engineered and architected Solar Tree® structures anywhere and that we can do so profitably at the gross margin line. The standardization we have brought to the product line and our process-driven deployment methodology allow for significant scale and operating leverage. The whole team is focused on the profitable deployment of our products. The hard work is starting to pay off,” said Desmond Wheatley, Envision Solar’s President and CEO in a press release on Tuesday.
