Yesterday, Voice Assist, Inc. and HarQen, Inc. announced that they have formed an alliance to design and produce a carrier-grade conference calling system. The system will incorporate many features that strive to improve the convenience of conference calling.
Voice Assist, located in Lake Forest, CA, is focused on delivering products that allow for voice control in any application, network, or device. Their cloud-based speech platform Voice Mode removes the need for a keyboard or keypad to interact with devices and perform tasks such as emailing, placing calls, and posting to social networks. HarQen’s Intelligent Voice Service system allows for conversations to be organized and shared between users through voice capturing and collaboration.
The two companies plan to use their respective expertise and strengths to develop a next-gen conference bridge solution, which will be integrated into CRM apps such as Salesforce, along with other data management apps. The technology will allow conversations to be started via voice and spoken commands, and will also allow the call’s contents to be searched, analyzed and shared.
“Voice Assist is pleased to be chosen by HarQen to provide hands-free, voice-enabled commands to better enable the conference call experience safely while driving,” said Michael Metcalf, chairman and CEO of Voice Assist. “This agreement demonstrates our commitment to expanding the capabilities of Voice Assist’s unique voice services platform.”
“Up until now, we have not had an easy way to initiate a conference call nor a meaningful way to organize, access or share these meetings later,” said E. Kelly Fitzsimmons, CEO of HarQen. “Voice Assist is made up of true industry pioneers and experts. We believe that the combination of our team’s talents and award-winning products will forever change the way people think of voice communications.”
