Montalvo Spirits announced that the company would be further expanding its brand, divulging that distribution rights have been secured in Oregon and Connecticut. This furthers the company’s strategies of expanding in the Northeast as well as the Pacific Northwest.
Montalvo is focused on developing, marketing, and distributing alcoholic beverages, featuring its flagship product Montalvo Tequila. Montalvo also plans to focus on producing artisinal spirit brands. The company’s Plata was named Finalist for the Chairman’s trophy at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge in 2013. At the 2013 Spirits of the Americas Competition, Montalvo’s Reposado was named “Best of Class” in the Reposado Tequila category.
Montalvo anticipates launching their brand in Connecticut on August 1, and in Oregon during the beginning of July. The company introduced its brand to New Jersey in May of 2012.
Daniel Cahill, director of sales for Montalvo, said, “The Northeast markets have shown great growth potential for handcrafted beverages and following May’s expansion into New Jersey, Connecticut seemed like the next logical move. We are hoping for a positive response from Connecticut consumers and further expansion into the Northeast.
