Today, Rimrock Gold announced that Mr. Larry D. Kornze has been appointed to the company’s Advisory Board.
As a member of the corporation’s Consultant Technical Advisory Board, Mr. Kornze will advise the President and Board of Directors on business decisions regarding Rimrock’s operations, as well as on new corporate acquisitions, joint-venture strategies, and evaluation of the potential worth of mineral properties.
“We are delighted that Mr. Larry Kornze has agreed to join our Advisory Board,” said Jordan Starkman, President and CEO. “His overall pedigree and the respect he has in the mining industry is a significant asset to Rimrock.”
Mr. Kornze’s exceptional career spans over 40 years of exploration and mining throughout North, Central, and South America, Europe, and Australia. He has been involved with many major and junior mineral exploration and mining companies, and is a Registered Professional Engineer with APEG of B.C., a Geological Engineer, and a Qualified Person under NI 43-101.
Mr. Kornze retired from Barrick Gold Corp. as the General Manager of Exploration for Mexico and Central America and International Evaluations. In his tenure with Barrick, he was the company’s U.S. Exploration Manager and was responsible for the Goldstrike Mine (+30,000,000 ounces gold) and exploration with discoveries at Betze, Meikle, Deepstar, Screamer, and Rodeo. Prior to joining Barrick in 1985, Larry held various positions with Newmont and Getty Mining Co. in North America.
Currently, Mr. Kornze is a Director of Candente Gold Corp., Dynasty Gold Corp., Duncan Park Holdings, Mexivada Mining Corp., and other companies. He is also a member of the Geological Society of Nevada, the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration, the BC Chamber of Mines, and the Prospector’s and Developer’s Association.
