Virtual Piggy, Inc. (VPIG) Expands European Reach with London Headquarters

February 5th, 2013 Virtual Piggy, a company focused on providing security platforms for the under 21 age demographic, has opened its new European headquarters in London.

Virtual Piggy’s e-commerce solution allows parents to set up a monthly allowance for their children in an environment where the child can execute financial transactions such as purchases, saving, and other money management decisions while under parental guidance and boundaries.

Prior to the opening of its London headquarters, Virtual Piggy signed multiple clients throughout Europe and the UK.
“Many youth orientated and entertainment companies have their European headquarters in London, and the European online market is simply huge. In the UK the average online spending is 25% of the gross household income,” said Virtual Piggy EMEA General Manager Joe Peden. “Now with Virtual Piggy, Under 18s have an easy and safe way to make online purchases.”
Peden has already retained Rob Stevenson as UK country manager.

Virtual Piggy is integrated with several commercial eCommerce platforms, including Oracle ATG, Magento from eBay, DemandWare, and osCommerce. In addition, Virtual Piggy’s strategic partnership with PayPal enables adults to register at Virtual Piggy.
