The national photovoltaic market of installed capacity is expected to reach about 4 gigawatts this year, and then it is expected to double to nearly 8 gigawatts by 2016, according to the U.S. Solar Market Insight report issued by the SEIA and GTM Research. If that comes to pass, solar will be one of the fastest growing industries in the country.
