In early June, GreenHouse Holdings, Inc. announced that they were engaged to implement Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Automated Demand Response (Auto-DR) program for two International Paper facilities in Camarillo and Santa Paula, California. GreenHouse will initially work with site personnel to determine the various benefits Auto-DR can yield to International Paper and SCE. Implementation of the integration project will also represent as much as $400,000 in revenues to GreenHouse and their subsidiaries.
This week, GreenHouse Holdings, Inc. announced a partnership with IC Systems. Together, the companies will offer a variety of systems and solutions to Southern California Edison (SCE) and their customers. This includes innovative communications and controls equipment designed to improve the financial and technical feasibility of Automated Demand Response projects. IC Systems is a provider of industrial monitoring and wide area network (WAN) monitoring equipment. They have their headquarters in Irvine, California.
Under the terms of the agreement, IC Systems has chosen GreenHouse Holdings, Inc. to be their exclusive distributor for smart grid applications within the Southern California Edison (SCE) territory. This will allow GreenHouse to expand their menu of automation and monitoring components. The design of these is to minimize significantly the work disruption that can be a result of implementing Demand Response measures.
IC Systems’ Smart Grid Technology provides industrial (open source) hardware with universally accepted power industry protocols. This allows customers to take advantage of SCE’s Auto-DR program.
