Success of Airline Intelligence Systems, Inc. (ASYI) is Based on New Solution to Old Problem

The radical new business planning system for airlines, jetEngine BPS, from Toronto based Airline Intelligence Systems, Inc., represents for airlines one of the most cost effective efficiency enhancement systems available anywhere. Brand new to the marketplace, jetEngine BPS owes its existence to the founders of AI Systems, Stephen Johnston and Roy Miller. The history of its development begins with its inventor, Roy Miller.

Roy Miller is a mathematician with over 30 years of experience as a senior systems architect, and a special affinity for Operations Research, an advanced mathematical approach for designing complex decision making and scheduling systems. Roy, a pioneer in the development of what is called Type III scheduling systems, was awarded a US Patent in 1995 for Resource Allocation Methods, in which he developed the Dynamic Adaptive N-Dimensional Scheduling engine. In 2000, he joined Microsoft Corporation, when it acquired the company that owned the patent. The technology later went on to form the basis for MS Project 2002/3, a product which currently generates over $600 million in revenue each year.

Roy left Microsoft in 2003, returning to Toronto where he created the foundation for what eventually became jetEngine BPS, a revolutionary combination of advanced mathematics and computer technology that, for the first time, gives airlines the power to generate comprehensive operational business and scheduling plans in a matter of minutes, instead of weeks or months. The time and effort previously required by airlines to come up with a workable business plan has been an old problem, brought on by the many economic and operational variables now facing the industry.

The business force behind AI Systems, Stephen Johnston, himself holding degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Mechanical Engineering, joined forces with Roy Miller to develop the organizational structure necessary to bring jetEngine BPS to the marketplace. Stephen Johnston, now the President and CEO of AI Systems, brought with him his expertise in financing, team building, and customer acquisition, along with his entrepreneurial experience in founding both private and publicly traded companies.

Today, jetEngine BPS is being beta tested by a major airline, and the product is believed capable of saving the airline industry an estimated $20 billion annually.
