Financial News Publications Focus on Elephant Talk Communications

Elephant Talk Communications, Inc. (ETAK.OB), an international telecom operator and enabler to the multi-media industry, today announced that three recent financial news publications reported on the company’s activities.

Larry Oakley, in his Conservative Speculator, financial newsletter, updated his June 2011 report on Elephant Talk Communications. For a copy of the report please contact Larry Oakley at UP415@aol.com.

Oakley noted that ETAK is an international telecommunications operator, providing global coverage of both its fixed and mobile networks. The ETAK services include business software and services to the telecommunications and financial services industries. The company enables mobile carriers as well as virtual operators to offer a full suite of products, delivery platforms, support services, superior industry expertise, and customer service without requiring substantial upfront investments from clients, Oakley said. The company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, ValidSoft, (www.validsoft.com) offers services including a suite of products to help stop credit, debit card, and bank fraud.

Oakley said that on June 29, 2011, ETAK announced an agreement with Zain Saudi Arabia to deliver and manage mobile services for Zain Saudi Arabia and for Zain mobile brands in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In the context of discussing Elephant Talk, Josh Levine, in his July 5 MicroCap Investor newsletter, cited growth figures from Jupiter Research showing mobile payments are expected to rise from $240 billion to $670 billion in 2015. Levine added that providing security for the mobile cloud, including bank fraud prevention, authentication, and transaction security will be a key growth area. Quoting Jupiter Research, Levine said that the near-field communications market (NFC), a key to the mobile wallet, is expected to be worth $50 billion by 2014.

Levine also stated that ValidSoft has an agreement with Visa Europe to provide ValidSoft’s fraud-prevention solutions, VALid-POS®, and VALid®, the company’s four-factor authentication platform. Visa Europe will integrate and market the solutions as services to its member banks as part of its European processing platform. In a report in the Dick Davis Digest on July 8, the recent announcement of Google Wallet was noted as a means that consumers will need to become more aware of security enhancements offered by Elephant Talk. The report is at http://www.dickdavis.com/2011/07/08/elephant-talk-communications-inc-etak/

It was pointed out that ValidSoft is the only security software company in the world to be awarded the European Privacy Seal for its product, VALid-POS®. The European Privacy Seal was awarded in March 2010 by EuroPriSe, certifying its compliance with European Data Protection Law. In addition, the report in the Dick Davis Digest noted that Elephant Talk is in the process of providing security for Near Field Communications (NFC), which is crucial to the mobile wallet.
