Brinx Resources Ltd. (BNXR) Updates Oklahoma Oil and Gas Program

Brinx Resources Ltd. issued an operational update on its oil and gas activities in the United States, where the company is developing project areas in Oklahoma, Mississippi and California.

Brinx Resources has decided to drill a well on the company’s leasehold in Oklahoma. The 2008-3-5A well is designed to offset a successful oil and gas well that was drilled and completed at the same project area in May 2009. The company expects to spud the new well before the end of July 2011.

Brinx Resources said that the original well has produced a cumulative total of approximately 150,000 barrels of oil and 16.5 million cubic feet of natural gas. The company is targeting a number of formations at the project including the oil creek and bromide sands, the viola limestone, and the deese and layton sandstones.

Brinx Resources also reported that the company has completed its 3D seismic acquisition program at its southern Oklahoma properties. The program comprises approximately 83,000 acres and the company expects to obtain several high quality prospects after an analysis of this data.

Brinx Resources has oil and gas properties in California, where it has a 20% working interest in the King City project. The company is also active in Mississippi at the Palmetto Point and Belmont Lake oil projects.
