Integrated Freight Corp. (IFCR) Elects Accounting Industry Veteran to Board of Directors

Integrated Freight, which has stitched together a fabric of dedicated dry van and hazardous waste truckload services focused on established traffic lanes on the Atlantic seaboard, in California, Texas, and the Upper Midwest markets, has enjoyed a reputation for long-haul, regional, and local motor freight excellence. The company reported a further step towards offering customers and shareholders the optimum value today, with the appointment of 13-year veteran accounting executive Joseph N. Vasile to its Board of Directors.

With a track record that spans multiple Fortune 500 companies, Vasile, who currently serves as Controller over at American Stock Transfer Company where he handles bank covenant analysis, board reporting, and closings on financial statements, brings a considerable amount of experience to IFCR’s bottom line. Vasile has spent a great deal of time navigating the murky waters of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, in addition to acquisition financial planning, something which will serve him well as IFCR moves forward acquiring and consolidating within the sector.

Vasile has also done his time in the trenches of risk assessment procedures, handling the creation/refinement of internal controls, in addition to the kind of financial and compensation reporting more typically linked with compliance. He’s a meticulous man with all the right experiential knowledge to hit it out of the park for IFCR and this election to the company’s Board sends an important statement to shareholders and to markets. Namely that, as President of IFCR, Hank Hoffman indicated, the company remains solidly dedicated to absolutely rigorous accounting standards.

Chairman and CEO of IFCR, David N. Fuselier, reaffirmed his colleague’s sentiments about Mr. Vasile, adding that such an outside director with the kind of critical technical skills needed to provide key oversight would give the company a perfect benchmarking framework to tell if they are proceeding appropriately. Fuselier highlighted in particular the “impressive level of experience and breadth of knowledge” attained by Vasile as an unquantifiably vast asset to the Integrated Freight Board of Directors.
