Gunpowder Gold Corp. (GUNP) Provides Updated Results for One of Their Claim Blocks

On Friday, Gunpowder Gold Corp. provided updated results for one of their claim blocks in their Dome Rock gold project in La Paz County, Arizona. Work included sediment and outcrop chip sampling from within Gunpowder Gold’s 100 percent owned BHR62 claim block.

Project geologists collected 16 rock chip and 22 sediment samples, all of which underwent submission for 34 element analysis by ICP (inductively-coupled plasma) and gold analysis by gold assay and ICP finish. Several of the samples were anomalous for copper and gold.

Positive results include assays of 17ppb Au, 3.5ppm Ag, 1,000ppm Cu, and strong pathfinder indications for Ba. In addition, several samples exhibited copper and hematite staining. This is sometimes associated with economic mineralization historically found in the Plomosa District of Arizona, including the Copperstone Mine area, approximately nine miles to the north of Quartzite.

Gunpowder Gold President, Mr. Michael Nott, commenting on the results, stated, “It is encouraging, at this early stage of exploration to find prospective gold and silver indicators on the surface of our claim block. We are also pleased with the geochemical ratios reported, which further give us an indication that our project bears similar attributes to valuable mineral resources in the district. These results will provide useful quantitative data to carry out the next phase of exploration on the Dome Rock gold project.”

Headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, Gunpowder Gold is a gold exploration company. They are pursuing high impact gold projects in the Walker Lane Trend, as it extends into Arizona. They have developed a strategically located set of mineral claims in the Dome Rock mountains region of Arizona. The Dome Rock project is nine miles from the Copperstone mine, one of the largest gold discoveries in Arizona’s history. The Copperstone open pit and underground workings are at the northern tip of the Dome Rock mountains.

Gunpowder Gold’s Dome Rock project in western Arizona is located on-trend of the world famous Walker Lane. The Walker Lane Gold Trend has historically produced more than 50 million oz of gold and 400 million oz of silver.
