Rainbow Coral Corp. (RBCC) Creates New Division to Enter $84.6 Billion Global Biotechnology Market

Rainbow Coral Corp. announced the creation of a new division – Rainbow BioSciences, LLC – to pursue opportunities in the thriving global biotechnology sector.

The biotech industry has shown tremendous gains recently, with all biotech EFTs notably outperforming the S&P 500 in the last five years. The global biotech industry, led by the United States, was valued at $84.6 billion in 2010 and is expected by numerous analysts to increase to $103 billion by the year 2013.

Biotech companies in the industry’s more traditional centers of Canada, Europe, Australia, and the U.S had a record setting 2010, with 30-percent net profit increase when compared to the year 2009. RBCC expects the trend to continue as populations increase and age rapidly across the developed world, and medical devices and diagnostics make improvements in preventing and treating more modern and complex diseases.

RBCC’s new biotech division will allow the Company to completely leverage its growing relationships with researchers into profitable partnerships in an industry ready for significant growth, says the Company’s CEO Patrick Brown.

“The biotech industry delivered solid top-to-bottom growth in 2010, producing record-breaking profits,” he said. “Rainbow BioSciences positions RBCC to do the same.”

The company has planned to reveal a new website dedicated to its bioscience development plans later on this week.

Rainbow Biosciences will be developing new research and medical technology innovations to compete with companies such as Alexion Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: ALXN), Amgen Inc. (NASDAQ: AMGN), Auxilium Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: AUXL) and Biogen Idec Inc. (NASDAQ: BIIB).

Founded in 2010, Rainbow Coral Corp. is primarily focused on establishing a coral farm facility to develop and to grow live coral. The company anticipates marketing approximately 50 species of hard and soft corals. The Company works with local marine aquarium clubs; national and regional reef conferences and even key players in the medical industry to spread the word about the importance of growing coral indoors. Medical researchers, in particular, are excited by the prospect of using sustainable, farm-raised coral for the treatment of various types of chronic diseases and injuries.
