Enviro Voraxial Technology, Inc., developer of advanced fluid and fluid/solid separation systems, announced today that they have received an order from a South American national oil company for a high-volume Voraxial® 4000 Separator System. The system is capable of processing 25,000 barrels per day, and could be one of several systems the oil company, which processes several hundred thousand barrels of wastewater every day, may order over the next few years. The system is scheduled for shipment in the first quarter of 2011 and will be installed at the customer’s wastewater plant to separate sand from the water stream.
The COO of EVTN, John DiBella, said of the order, “This is a very significant order for EVTN. We are seeing an increase in customer inquiries, especially from the oil and gas industry, which is translating into more deployments and installations. This customer has already expressed interest to use the Voraxial at its other production facilities which are having similar issues.”
The Voraxial Separator is compact, turnkey, and highly effective, able to more efficiently treat a variety of fluid streams, reducing customer treatment costs. The system was selected for its many benefits, including efficient separation without requiring a pressure drop, plus its ease of installation and operation, and overall cost savings. It can economically separate large volumes of solids and liquids having different specific gravities, saving space, energy, and weight.
Although Enviro continues to pursue the oil and gas industry, it is also receiving requests from the mining, manufacturing, and oil spill industries. The separation market encompasses a series of multibillion dollar segments, spread globally across many industries and applications. The Voraxial configuration is a unique, patented, in-line, continuous processing separator, capable of simultaneously separating up to three components, such as oil, water, and sand. Voraxial bulk separation is achieved at a small fraction of the weight, size, energy requirement, maintenance, and cost of conventional separators.
