GHN Agrispan, www.ghnagrispan.com – the brilliant Chinese operating company that is pursuing a “from the farm to the table” philosophy in order to create a robust food supply system, announced a strategic agreement to provide catering services to China’s largest hypermarket chain today.
Estimated annual value of the contract is $720k and would have GHNA supplying meat and vegetable dishes in addition to a selection of healthy soups to round out its already extremely appealing all-natural catering services.
Very good news to the some 1.2k employees at the Ningbo Beilun Branch of China’s domestic retail hypermarket giant as this contract will run all the way through Aug 24, 2011.
The scale of this client is immense, with $5.7B in sales in 2009 (Euromonitor), a massive infrastructural footprint and a solid reputation, making this a sweet deal for GHNA.
CEO of GHNA, Ms. Xu Yizhen, measured the contract as a high water mark for the Company’s rapidly expanding prepared foods/catering segments and projected a year of outstanding revenue.
Ms. Xu explained that this contract would open the door with the major retail giant and that GHNA would work hard to cultivate the relationship as it represents abundant opportunities.
Prepared foods, frozen goods and other associated offerings are an ideal fit for the major retailer and the reputation for healthy/hearty meals GHNA has acquired (which is in very high demand in China now and for the foreseeable future) make it a win-win situation for both companies.
