QualityStocksNewsBreaks – Pressure BioSciences Inc.’s (PBIO) CBD Oil Solutions Meet Nanoemulsion Specifications, Exhibit Minimal CBD Loss in Lab Testing

Pressure BioSciences (OTCQB: PBIO), a leader in the development and sale of high pressure-based instruments, consumables, and related services for the global life sciences industry, today announced that analytical testing on hemp-derived CBD oil processed via its Ultra Shear Technology(TM) (“UST”) platform confirms its unique ability to achieve challenging criteria for creating highly-effective “nanoemulsions” of CBD oil in water. Per the update, testing results confirm these capabilities without CBD loss or modification throughout the entire UST process, providing greater than 99 percent recovery. “We asked an independent, university-affiliated laboratory to determine the size of oil droplets achieved in UST-processed CBD oil, using a universally-accepted sizing method called DLS,” PBIO Director of Applications Development Dr. Vera Gross explained in the news release. “Their analytical results revealed that the UST- processed oil drops were reduced to approximately 65 nm in size, well into the 20-200 nm range targeted for truly effective nanoemulsion delivery and absorption of nutrients and therapeutics, such as CBD (Nano- and Microscale Drug Delivery Systems, 2017).”

About Pressure BioSciences Inc.

Pressure BioSciences, Inc. is a leader in the development and sale of innovative, broadly enabling, pressure-based solutions for the worldwide life sciences industry. The company’s products are based on the unique properties of both constant (i.e., static) and alternating (i.e., pressure cycling technology, or “PCT”) hydrostatic pressure. PCT is a patented enabling technology platform that uses alternating cycles of hydrostatic pressure between ambient and ultra-high levels to safely and reproducibly control bio-molecular interactions (e.g., cell lysis, biomolecule extraction). PBIO’s primary focus is in the development of PCT-based products for biomarker and target discovery, drug design and development, biotherapeutics characterization and quality control, soil & plant biology, forensics, and counter-bioterror applications. Additionally, major new market opportunities have emerged in the use of its pressure-based technologies in the following areas: (1) the use of its recently acquired PreEMT technology from BaroFold, Inc. to allow entry into the biologics contract research services sector, and (2) the use of its recently-patented, scalable, high-efficiency, pressure-based Ultra Shear Technology (“UST”) platform to (i) create stable nanoemulsions of otherwise immiscible fluids (e.g., oils and water) and to (ii) prepare higher quality, homogenized, extended shelf-life or room temperature stable low-acid liquid foods that cannot be effectively preserved using existing non-thermal technologies.
