Talon Therapeutics, Inc. (TLON) Adds Elizabeth Weatherman to Board

Talon Therapeutics recently announced that Elizabeth Weatherman had been appointed to the company’s board of directors. Talon also announced the departure of Jonathan Leff, leaving the Talon board for Deerfield Management.

Headquartered in San Francisco, CA, Talon is focused on the development of products intended for the therapy of hematologic malignancies and solid tumors, as well as a product candidate for the treatment-limiting skin toxicities of the EGFR-inhibitor class of cancer therapeutics.

Weatherman is a Managing Director of Warburg Pincus (the majority shareholder of Talon), joining in 1988, and leads the firm’s investment activity in the healthcare sector. Weatherman is on the boards of Bausch & Lomb, Constitution Medical, International Technidyne Corp., JHP Pharmaceuticals, ReSearch Pharmaceutical Services, Silk Road Medical, and Tornier.
