The company reported today that it has entered into a “teaming agreement” with Horizon Energy Group, a leader in U.S. microgrid development. Microgrids are comprised of renewable energy resources, high-efficiency combined heat and power solutions, advanced energy storage, and intelligent grid management systems. Microgrids are expected to be a key component of future energy distribution globally in the years ahead. Annual project investments associated with microgrids are expected to top $2 billion by 2015.
The agreement between Envison Solar and Horizon Energy covers several active projects that the firms are cooperating on. The two companies will shortly announce the first of a series of projects in which they and their partners – Green Energy Corporation and McKim Creed Green – will be the lead development and delivery team.
Horizon is keen to work together with Envision Solar.
