PAETEC Holding Corp. (PAET) Subsidiary Intellifiber Networks Signs Multi Million Dollar Contract with QTS Richmond

Intellifiber Networks, a subsidiary of PAETEC Holding Corp. (PAET), which provides integrated communications services in the US, announced that it has won a multi million dollar contract to provide managed network services to one of the biggest data centers in North America. The Richmond, Virginia site, which is wholly owned and operated by Quality Technology Services (QTS), is the newest and largest location, spanning over 1.3 million square feet. The area includes up to 550,000 square feet of raised floor space and 150 MW of power.

The QTS fiber build plan will provide two diverse paths out of Richmond, which creates a fully protected service delivering different routes to the Culpeper and Northern Virginia area. The service has been specially designed to meet the requirements of Federal Agencies and larger scale commercial enterprises, which have specific performance expectations and have requirements for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. The fiber build extends Intellifiber’s low latency routes between Pittsburgh, Chicago, D.C, and Philadelphia.
