Finding meaningful uses for recycled materials is clearly the path our world is taking, and for good reason. Nearly a quarter of a billion tires are discarded each year in the United States alone. Some are burned for fuel and other are exported, but the vast majority, nearly 80 percent, are thrown into landfills, stockpiled, or simply illegally thrown somewhere.
Matawan, New Jersey-based B Green Innovations, Inc. has found a practical use for recycling tires and is seeing a gradual increase in sales for its products. As a whole, the Company is focused on the development of solutions to eliminate waste from the world’s environment. The Company manufactures several products designed to be environmentally friendly including degradable/biodegradable plastic bags.
Additionally, B Green manufactures two products from recycled rubber tires: the EcoPod™, a compact, solid crumb rubber isolation block engineered to reduce structure noise transmission, and VibeAway®, a specially-designed washing machine anti-vibration pad for washing machines and dryers. The 100% crumb rubber pad is designed to reduce the transfer of vibration that occurs in most typical washing and drying cycles. It can also be used to reduce sound, vibrations, and pulsating of table saws, freezers and other large appliances.
Today, B Green announced a new avenue for sales for its VibeAway® pads as they are now being sold in Potpourri Group’s “whatever works” catalog. Operating for nearly fifty years, Potpourri Group Inc. began by publishing a single catalog title, but has since grown into one of the leading multi-title catalog companies in America through years of internal growth and acquisitions. An online version is available at www.potpourrigroup.com/catalog.htm. A set of four of the anti-vibration pads sells on the website for $24.95 and B Green has reported several sales already in its brief time of listing.
In addition to this news regarding VibeAway®, B Green also announced a distribution expansion for its biodegradable trash bag products. While names were not disclosed, it was stated that a “supermarket chain will trial the 100% biodegradable trash and compactor bags in a few of its stores, additional details will be released when the product is on the shelf in the stores.”
