American Petro-Hunter, Inc. (AAPH.OB) To Spud Well At Rooney Project

American Petro-Hunter, Inc. released an update on its operations at its Rooney project in Kansas. The company has applied for a drilling permit for the Rooney # 3 well, the third well in its development project there.

American Petro-Hunter, Inc. said that the initial discovery well at the Rooney Project was the Double H #24-1 well, which began production in January 2010. American Petro-Hunter, Inc. plans on drilling ten wells at the Rooney Project in 2010, and the company believes the reserves here may total up to 3 million barrels of oil in total.

The Rooney Project is located in Ford County, Kansas, and consists of approximately 7,000 acres of prospective land, near the Morrow Sand formation, an existing producing oil and gas area.

American Petro-Hunter, Inc. is an oil and gas exploration and production company with properties in Kansas and California. Aside from the Rooney Project, the company has 750 gross acres under lease at the Poston Oil project, and 500 gross acres under lease at the Colby Oil Project, both located in Kansas.

In California, American Petro-Hunter, Inc. is involved with the Sacramento Gas project, where it has 1,000 gross acres under lease.
