Xhibit Interactive LLC, a cloud-based marketing and technology company, and a wholly owned subsidiary of NB Manufacturing, has acquired the Internet domain MovieSocial.com, marking a new addition to NBMF’s Intellectual Property (IP) and social media portfolio.
Xhibit plans to plot the new domain as a new social media property focused on promoting social interaction and growing a membership base centered on motion pictures and the movie going public.
Xhibit also has plans to make the domain available as a mobile app on leading mobile platforms and devices. Xhibit’s chief digital architect, Mirco Pasqualini, explained that the interactive site/mobile app will allow users to browse the latest movie trailers, buy tickets, invite friends, and even find a “movie partner.” The site will eventually serve as a public forum where members can discuss, blog, and vote on movies to earn interaction-based rewards.
The MovieSocial platform is also designed as an advertising tool used by production companies and studios to deliver movie trailer views to interested people throughout the site, mobile app, e-mail, and mobile traffic.
“We think that the motion picture and movie industry is a prime area for social interaction. It’s a perfect spot for us to position Xhibit Interactive with an innovative social property that’s designed to monetize advertising through a broad potential audience.
