Identive Group, Inc. (INVE) Chosen as Control Standard for an Agency within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security

Identive Group is a provider of solutions and services for the identification, security, and RFID industries. The company is focused on building the world’s signature company in Secure ID. Its products, software, systems, and services address the markets for identity management, physical access control, cashless payments, NFC solutions, and a host of RFID applications.

The company today announced that it has been selected by a federal agency within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to implement its Hirsch-brand access control and security management systems at the agency’s more than 200 locations across the country. Identive’s systems will secure entry and exit points at the agency’s facilities, providing secure work environments.

The agency selected Identive based on the company’s strong reputation as a provider of security solutions to the U.S. government. Another key factor in the contract win was the fact that Identive’s access control systems support simultaneous use of the wide variety of the federally-issued access credentials currently in use. In addition, the company’s solution allows updates and integration to additional agency and federal systems and databases as future standards and requirements emerge.

The Identive access control and security management systems include Velocity management software, DIGI*TRAC controllers, and patented ScramblePad readers. The system will be delivered and installed over a four-year period through the company’s national network of channel partners.
