StrikeForce Technologies, Inc. (SFOR) and TradeHarbor Announce New Voice Verification System

StrikeForce Technologies announced that the company has entered into a partnership with TradeHarbor to produce the world’s first “three factor” voice verification system. The system works over mobile devices and enforces security by combining what StrikeForce has identified as “all three critical factors: who you are, what you have & what you know.”

StrikeForce, based in Edison, NJ, is the creator and key patent holder for two factor out-of-band authentication as well as an anti-keylogging keystroke encryption technology (patent pending). StrikeForce’s software, including the company’s GuardedID anti-keylogging keystroke encryption technology and ProtectID out-of-band authentication technology, is used by over four million individuals and businesses in over 100 countries. TradeHarbor is focused on developing voice authentication software.

StrikeForce claims that the new system, which combines voice verification and out-of-band authentication, is ideally suited for protecting industries that most often fall victim to hackers, such as banking and financial services, online retailers, government agencies, education organizations, and pharmaceuticals, among others. The new system is available as a web service; each verification interaction produces a legally-binding voice signature combined with out-of-band authentication, which includes an audit trail to mitigate repudiation by the person being authenticated.

Mark L. Kay, CEO of StrikeForce, said, “Combining voice verification and out-of-band authentication together to help prevent online fraud was a natural integration waiting to happen. We can now offer a higher level of security with choices at a fair price.”

Paul Heirendt, CEO of TradeHarbor, stated, “This combined offering is a ground-breaking new approach to authentication that provides a level of accountability that has not been available before. With the proliferation of mobile devices and mobile applications, enterprises need strong multi-factor authentication and accountability to provide the security for BYOD, which allows users to access sensitive data on their own devices.”

“It provides a consistent user experience and has proven to add high security while providing increased convenience and flexibility,” added Heirendt. “Since this total three-factor voice authentication solution is provided as Software as a Service, it minimizes capital expenditures, minimizes internal development resource requirements, time to market, and boosts the ROI resulting from cost savings and customer acquisition & retention.”
