“The threat of improvised explosive devices, or IEDs, remains a very clear and present danger in different regions of the world,” stated John Sztykiel, President and CEO of Spartan Motors. “Spartan continues to leverage its expertise and agility alongside original equipment manufacturers such as BAE Systems to fulfill the needs of the U.S. Government. We appreciate our ongoing partnership with BAE Systems and together, we are firmly committed to producing reliable vehicle solutions in support of American and coalition forces,” added Sztykiel.
Spartan has delivered on multiple subcontract orders in the past to support the production of advanced tactical vehicles under the Iraqi Light Armored Vehicle (ILAV), MRAP and Medium Mine Protected Vehicle (MMPV) programs. The company also continues its support of MRAP prime contractors, and the U.S. Government, by providing spare and replacement parts.
